Huggies Coupon – Buying Advantage

Every time I print a Huggies coupon or receive it from a local store, I always see it as an opportunity to empower myself.  Diapers are one of the more expensive items in the budget list and every time I see diaper prices on the packaging I kind of feel my knees trembling.  But if I have coupons, I feel like I have an advantage that other parents don’t have.  It is because they are probably thinking that these coupons have little values.

Huggies Coupon: Some Computations

I am not a math enthusiast, I actually hate math worksheets.  But as soon as I got to start to build my own family, simple math calculations became a necessary part of daily living.  It is for me a way of determining how much home needs are costing my pocket and the ways I can alleviate the tremendous burden of rising consumer products’ cost.  Now let me show you my computations for diapers’ cost.

My baby’s using size 4 diapers and she uses three pieces per day.  If I buy a 192-count pack from local supermarkets, I will have to pay about $55.  From these stores, they usually don’t give discounts so it’s plain $55.  Now, 192 divided by 3 gives me 64 days.  A pack lasts for 64 days.  Now 55 divided by 192 gives me $0.29.  That’s $0.29 per piece of diaper.  0.29 times three gives me 0.89.   That means I am spending $0.89 for diapers daily.  For a month, that’s about $53

Compare that with the expenses I incur from getting diapers online (costing $0.20 apiece).  That’s a total of $36 in a month. Monthly, I get to save $17 just by purchasing online.  But there’s more.  With diaper coupons, I also get about $2 dollars per purchase.  That’s about $12 in a year of diaper use.  You see, I get to save about $216 for just a year!

Huggies Coupon:  Other Brands

I am talking about the Huggies brand here but I am not really endorsing it.  You may be using other brands; that is fine with me.  I just would like you to understand that there are great ways to save money on this very important item in your budget list.  But if your brand does not give this kind of savings opportunities, I might as well ask you to consider switching brands.

Don’t Underestimate Little Discounts

Another point that I am emphasizing here is this:  do not make it a habit to ignore small discount offerings.  As I have shown with my simple computations, you can save hundreds of dollars in diaper savings.  In my case, that’s about $2000 for a ten-year period.  If you are somebody who has three little kids at the same time, this can mean tremendous savings.

Do the same with other baby products.  One thing more that I have discovered:  online stores offer big discounts on other baby items like clothes, strollers, feeding bottles and so on and so forth.

I am not the internet-savvy type, but there’s one thing I learned from the Huggies coupon episodes in my life, and that is even mothers should take advantage of this modern technology for a variety of benefits for the family.
